As a master manifester I have found that fear is the basis of all obstacles or those self imposed limits to our ability to manifest what we desire and want for our lives. Fear, the False Evidence Appearing Real is only real because you, we created it ourself! For who creates your reality but you! And whether false or real, it is You, We who creates our own reality!
As I think about this odd way of how we manifest, sometimes manifesting what we want and sometimes manifesting something that we just don't want, well, I was reminded of a Bible verse that I was taught and learned as a young child. The verse says… ‘When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives; that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.’ (James 4:3)
Being careful and thoughtful as to not take the verse out of context… I would like to look at it in part as we consider how we ask for and receive the desires and dreams that we are manifesting. Let us also consider how and for what reason are we manifesting our wants, desires, wishes and dreams? So, let us look at the first part of this verse that simply says that when we ask and don’t receive it is because of our wrong motive.
If I ask for a thing and don’t get what I’m asking for, then should I look at the motive behind my asking? And should I also consider my motive if I ask for a thing or something and I get and receive something different or other than what I originally asked for? Can there be a problem with my motive? Could my motive in some way be wrong?
Notice here that it says wrong motive, (as opposed to right motive), which simply means that what I’m asking for does not align with my motive or my true intention for my asking for whatever ‘it’ is. How can that be, you might wonder. And for a while I too wondered that very thought. How can I ask for or want something for the wrong motive or reason? The answer to this question must and should be asked of you, your self alone. And let me also say here, that the answer must come from deeper place than simply I just want that that new car. Or having that new job will give me more money and prestige. Honestly ask and seek your true and right motive behind your wants desires, wishes and dreams. Be truthful with yourself and find your right motive!
All manifestations start with an intention. What is your intention? What is your reason and motive for your desire? For the thing(s) that you want and dream for? Do you even know?! Is it because it will simply make you feel good or better? Or is it because your neighbor has it and you want it too? Or maybe it is to prove that you can indeed have whatever it is that you want. None of these reasons are bad, but are they the true and right motive for your desire?
Another verse that comes to my mind as I meditate on this message, is: Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4.
That is also in line or says pretty much what the previous verse that I shared from James speaks on, which goes on to say: ‘that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.…’(James 4:3b)
Take a closer look at your intention, your motive, your reason for what ever it is that you desire. Are you spending your desire, your want, your wish, your dream on your own delight, your own pleasure? We are asked or told to take delight in God and He in turn will give us the desires of our heart. That desire is for always from and for the highest good. We can only see and understand from the limits of our own minds and in turn, we are can only receive from the limits of our beliefs.
The truth is that God is our Source and it is the delight of Source to give to us! Therefore in regards to the manifestation of our wants, desires, wishes and dreams, I suggest and can only repeat these verses for us to consider as we manifest the things that we want, desire, wish and dream of. So again I repeat and share these verses for your consideration as opportunity to manifest what you want rather than what you do not want.
’When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives; that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.’ (James 4:3)
Therefore:
‘Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart’. Psalms 37:4
