Just To Be Like Jesus

People often ask me why I don’t speak of Jesus more often and specifically in my messages. Ever since I can remember I have been impressed, overwhelmed, awe struck, and humbled by all that I’ve heard and read and even experienced of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. And as a very little girl who really didn’t know or understand the difference between truth and tale, fact and fable, real from just a dream… I have always wanted to be like the man, the story, the fable, the truth of Jesus, the Son of God. Once I said to my grandmother… ‘I want to be like Jesus and do the things that Jesus did.’ And she said that I can! And I believed her too!

Again, I say, for me there is no better way to give glory to Jesus, the Man, the Name, than to emulate Him by imitating all that I believe, all that I know and all that I understand about Jesus. Real or a dream!

I can say too, that I rarely share much about me, myself… and it’s because I am modest and a bit shy… but more than that… The only thing that Jesus proclaimed about Himself was who, what and Whose He is. I was always taught that actions speak louder than words, so I too, in my attempts to imitate and emulate Jesus I use my life, my acts in hopes that my actions, as Jesus’ actions, will speak louder than my words! We all judge Jesus, not so much by His words but more so by His acts. I still want to be like Jesus; and as Jesus Himself said:; “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

Even to this very day, I just wanna be and do like Jesus!💖
